Historically, women in India were predominantly confined to traditional roles within the healthcare sector, such as midwifery and nursing, with limited access to education and professional advancement. However, societal changes, coupled with government initiatives promoting gender equality and education, have led to a significant increase in women's participation in various healthcare professions.

Changing dynamics within the healthcare workforce, highlighting the challenges and opportunities faced by women healthcare workers in India. Conversely, it also examines the initiatives and policies implemented to promote gender parity in healthcare education and employment.

Furthermore, this abstract examines the impact of women's increased participation in healthcare on the delivery of services, patient outcomes, and broader societal attitudes towards gender roles. It discusses the importance of diverse representation within the healthcare workforce and the unique contributions that women bring to the field.
